Starting the editing process
This is the start of the editing process. When we started this project we all decided together that it would be in our best interest to let Monzur be the man in charge of physically editing it. He had a lot of prior knowledge about editing apps and how to sink things together well. Knowing all of this we all came to the unanimous decision that with him taking lead it would come out the best. The last day of filming happened and we all were sending the videos that we had taken on our phones to each other to see what parts we would most want to use. I have a Samsung phone, and all of my group members have iPhones. So when sending the videos we had taken on my phone there was an obvious change in the quality and it became very pixilated and blurry making the footage unusable. This is when we had to start brainstorming what we wanted to do. We had tons of footage and but the best footage and shots we had been in the video on my phone. After doing some research we found that if we all uploaded our videos to the cloud it would fix the quality problem. To do so we had to download an app called mega and all individually uploaded the footage we had on our phones. Mega is a file storage app so it was simple once everything was uploaded there, Monzur could just get all the clips to his device in order to start actually putting them together. Though Mnzur was the one physically editing the clips we were all on a discord call watching it be done altogether. When watching the videos we all had really great ideas for what could be used and what shouldn't be used. It was actually a lot of fun, someone would have an idea for a clip and then we would all bounce off of each other and then Monzur would make this great idea we had into a reality. The best part was being able to see the editing happen and all of us point out little things that would make the transitions or scenes better. Monzur was live-streaming the whole process so we would all be able to see and help even if we weren't all in the same room. We started off with everything we had and removed clips that weren't good. Then out of what we liked there was plenty of footage left so we knew we would only have to film a little bit on Tuesday. Together we got through the first thirty seconds and were pretty happy with the outcome. The video has to be slightly over a minute so we still have quite some work to do.
