Finishing editing and the outcome
Now that we had about half of the editing done we rewatched it a lot of times. We liked all the footage but we wanted this first thirty seconds to be as great as it could be. After all the digging we did, we knew all the right clips for that 30 second part of the song. But before we moved on we just wanted to see if any last-minute changes were in order. Finally, when there wasn't we decided to move on. Most of the work had to be in lining up the lip-syncing in the videos with the audio from the song. There was a lot that had to be slowed down in order to fit. But in fact, there were even some parts where people in the group lip-synced too slow and those parts had to be sped up. For this last day of editing, we only had to last major problems. The first was clips accidentally being deleted when we were trying to listen for the next part of the song. It became really annoying to keep re-editing the only clips and putting them back in the right place. We came up with the idea to have a pre-saved stock image to add in and easily take out when we were done picking out the right clip for that part of the song. Now we didn't have any more problems with losing clips and could carry on without worrying. Once we got to about the forty-five-second mark we ran into another problem. We had only shot one clip to this part of the song because we really liked the footage we had gotten. But upon watching it when it was finally put into the editing app we realized it was all completely off. We were pretty upset because we had already filmed everything we needed and had no more time to film anything else. It was a scene where Fahim reacted slightly late to the song. This through off not only this clip but also the following clips. Which meant we had to take it out and edit it by itself. We fixed the timing by splitting it up from Juans part and slowing it down. We had about ten more clips from Tuesday so we had enough to finish the video. After adding the rest of the clips we realized we still needed three seconds. so we decided to recycle some clips and it was ok because it was the same we had opened it so it wasn't something that was just there. After the editing combing through for any hitches or glitches in the audio. It was downloaded and exported in 4k. This is what took the longest since we wanted it in the best quality. But it was finally finished and ready for submission
