End Scene Film
Today, October 7, I went out to the baseball field with my partner again. This time, I was there to redo one scene. I was also there to shoot the end scene of my partner walking away with the bat on his shoulder. In the classroom, before I left to record, I got tape and re-taped a stick that I made for filming. It's a piece of wood with a GoPro mount on the end. I had to redo the tape so the mount wouldn't fall off. Today was a PSD day, so I only had about 30 minutes to record those scenes. I went to the dugout and put the same clothes I wore last production day. My partner had his clothes folded, ready to go, on his bed, but his mom took them and put them in the wash, so he didn't have them. This meant that I had to be the one in the end scene. I figured it wouldn't make sense if I were the one stepping up to the plate in the scene we had to redo, so we are just going to keep that already shot scene in. I got the bat we used and a couple baseballs to hit. My partner thought it would look cool to have a bunch of Easton products in a pile and have me pick up a bat and walk away. I thought it was a good idea and went with it. So I gathered up a bunch of Easton products, such as a helmet, three bats, a catcher's glove, and a ball. I got these items and planned how to put them in a pile to be aesthetically pleasing in the commercial. I gave my partner the camera and did a walk through of the scene before filming. He would tilt the camera up from the ground to the pile of products, I would walk up to grab a bat and ball, then walk to the field. After he filmed once, he said, "Stay right there, I have an amazing idea!" so I went with it. I did the shot again and and this time he went from behind me and walked to my side and had me toss the ball and swing. This took me a couple tries to get the right pace to walk at, so the final commercial can be a little less than 30 seconds, but I got it in time before school ended.
